Vaccines save lives and prevent the spread of deadly diseases, but severe vaccine adverse reactions do occur on rare occasions.

Serious vaccine reactions include severe and deadly allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, autoimmune disorders such as Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM)as well as many chronic and painful neurologic conditions and shoulder injuries such as a frozen shoulder, brachial plexus, and brachial neuritis.

Patients who suffer a serious adverse reaction to a vaccine are may be eligible to file a claim with the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) to seek compensation for a vaccine injury.

The VICP is managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Victims can hire a vaccine injury lawyer to file a claim on their behalf in a centralized vaccine court in Washington, D.C., and they can assist clients across the United States regardless of city or state.

There are time limitations on filing a claim, however. A vaccine claim must be filed within three years of the first onset of vaccine side effects, regardless of whether you knew that the symptoms were related to the vaccination.  For cases involving death from a vaccine injury, the claim must be filed within two years of death and four years after the onset of symptoms of the injury that caused a person’s death.

Don’t wait until you have recovered to seek compensation. Talk to a vaccine injury lawyer before the statute of limitations expires.
