Stryker Hip Lawsuit can be filed to Receive Compensation

Comments Off

Recipients of faulty Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II metal hip replacements that required a revision surgery after the November Stryker hip replacement lawsuit settlement may still be eligible for compensation.

A global Stryker hip replacement lawsuit settlement was announced on November 3, 2014.  According to the terms of the settlement, patients who underwent hip revision surgery prior to the settlement date would be entitled to a base compensation award of $300,000 per failed hip. Anyone that had a recalled Stryker Rejuvenate or ABG II hip revised after November 2, 2014 would not be included in the settlement, but may still be eligible to pursue a Stryker hip lawsuit.

A voluntary Stryker hip recall was announced in July 2012 after patients experienced hip implant failure caused by metal poisoning. The grinding metal components released debris into the blood stream which caused adverse reactions to the surrounding tissue and removal of the device was required.

Stryker recipients who underwent revision surgery and are not included in the Stryker hip replacement lawsuit settlement are urged to contact a lawyer to find out if they are eligible to file a Stryker hip lawsuit.
